Since the mid-20th century, our town has transformed from a quiet farming community into a thriving suburban hub. As we continue to grow, it's essential that we adopt smart, sustainable development policies that strengthen our local economy without compromising the character of our neighborhoods.
To achieve this, we must focus on revitalizing Main Street Marlton—reimagining it as a vibrant, walkable destination where residents can shop, dine, work, and enjoy time with family and friends. By following the 2020 downtown vision study plan, we can attract new businesses, expand our tax base, and stop the need for development on open spaces near our homes.
Main Street represents a unique opportunity to energize our community, support local entrepreneurs, and preserve the charm and quality of life that make Marlton a great place to live.
Evesham Republicans understand the importance of supporting first responders who serve our community. That is why we will strongly oppose any efforts to "defund the police." Evesham Township police do a great job of keeping our community safe and cracking down on crime incidents here in town. To prevent regional increases in crime from striking here in our hometown, we need pro-police elected-officials in town who will ensure that the men and women of the Evesham Police Department have the resources they need to keep our town safe.
Additionally, we want to fully fund School Resource Officers in Evesham schools. Keeping our kids safe must be a top priority.
Fight for Resources for our Students
Evesham Republicans are dedicated to collaborating with schools in Evesham to support students and parents amid state budget cuts to local education. We believe that our neighborhood schools are a large part of what makes Evesham a special community for hard-working families.
As a community, we must elect common-sense legislators who will fight against Trenton Democrats who passed S2 legislation which defunded Evesham schools. To support our schools, and enable our district to lower property taxes via increased state-aid, we need to reform the state's school funding formula.
Our goal is to create a supportive and affordable town where every parent feels empowered to contribute to their child's educational journey, and every student can thrive after their time in our schools.
Enough is enough with the affordable housing... We need to stop the overdevelopment of apartments, and protect our town's natural environment.
Evesham Republicans are fighting the state and the, Mt. Laurel doctrine, which dictates that we must develop more apartments. In order to preserve the charm and character of our town, it's time to elect leaders who will stand against overdevelopment.
Additionally, Evesham Republicans are committed to protecting open space and promoting recreational programs to enhance the well-being of our community. We believe that accessible recreational facilities encourage physical fitness, social interaction, and personal growth.
Our vision includes creating vibrant, well-maintained spaces where everyone can enjoy sports and outdoor activities, helping to build a healthier and more connected community.
Evesham is Plauged by Politicans Acting for Political Gain... It's Time to Put Evesham First
As it currently stands, Evesham politicians are more focused on infighting over political issues rather than implimenting policies for the good of our town. While Main Street businesses are ignored and taxes continue to increase (nearly 30% just last year!), our local "leaders" are more dedicated to providing municipal contracts to their big donors and giving their friends jobs in our Municipal building (see article here).
We believe it doesn't have to be this way. Our intentions are simple; we want to give back to our town by implementing policies that will promote smart growth, support growth and progress, and work to make Evesham more affordable and accessible for young families and current residents. None of this will be achieved by continuing to follow the leadership of current elected officials who have proven they are not dedicated to solutions.
We want to make it our main goal to put politics aside and focus on making Evesham Township a better community.
A Better Way Forward for Evesham Township
It’s time to take politics out of our local government. By switching to a non-partisan municipal election system, we can put the focus where it belongs—on the people and the issues that matter most to our community.
Why Non-Partisan Elections?
More Accountability – Candidates run on ideas, not party lines.
Greater Participation – Voters focus on qualifications and vision, not party loyalty.
Less Polarization – Local decisions should reflect Evesham, not national politics.
More Diverse Voices – Opens the door for more residents to run and serve.
Let’s make Evesham’s future about community, not partisan politics.
